Sleeping Sea Spirit lll is made from timber salvaged from a log in Stratham Park. This property was taken up by John Scott Jnr for Governor Stirling as part of the Stirling Estate in the late 1840s.

The area is believed to be ringbarked before 1919 and this was amongst the few remaining in the 21st Century.
